  • After warring with the Iroquois Confederacy in 1649, three remnant tribes joined to become the Wyandotte Nation.
  • In 1843, the Wyandotte were the last tribe to be removed from Ohio.
  • At first contact with the French in 1536, descendants of the Wyandotte were referred to as the Huron.
  • The Wyandotte were instrumental in founding Detroit and Kansas City.
